Reflective Writing
In Week 2, I presented Kenyal-Kenyal: Carry Your Calm as a stress-relief product inspired by the familiar “kenyal” (soft, chewy, bouncy) sensation found in Malaysian desserts, aiming to offer students a simple way to self-regulate during academic pressure. During lecturer feedback in Week 2, I was told the idea already exists in the market (including local “Nasi Lemak” themed versions), so the concept felt ordinary and needed a stronger, fresher element beyond “stress ball × Malaysia.” By Week 3, I refined the proposal by clarifying the problem statement and exhibition context, and by developing an early product system (hero object, carry version, and packaging) that is discreet, hygienic, and socially comfortable for use in public study spaces.
