This is a difference between f/2 and f/3.5.

  • Aperture = Size of lens opening
  • Lower f/stop = More light
  • Aperture controls the depth of field
  • Low f/stop = Small depth of field
  • High f/stop = Large depth of field
  • Slower shutter speed = More motion blur
Image too DARK
  • Slow shutter speed
  • Lower aperture
  • Raise ISO
Image too BRIGHT
  • Lower ISO
  • Raise shutter speed
  • Raise aperture

Beginner
take a photo with a product
1/200 F/6.3 = The photos can be used in product learning pages / social media posting

Intermediate
take a photo with the products and add some background
  • do not put the products on the same line

Pro
take a photo with the products and add the scene
  • Add some stuff often used in lifestyle to make more focus on the product
  • Add movement and action to the scene

By putting a V-flat background, the photo became lighter than no fill

Practical - Recoloring Black & White

EXERCISE 1
For exercise 1, I colored specifically as much as I could. If I spread out the color, it will affect to the final outcome.

EXERCISE 2

For exercise 2 the way of coloring was totally different from exercise 1. The hard part was skin coloring. because there was fur and curly hair, it was not easy to select skin only.
